Privacy Notice

Who we are
Section 8 Made Simple is a trading name of CJ Lee Services Ltd (company no. 12286913), registered in England. We are the data controller for the personal information you provide. Contact: info@section8madesimple.co.uk

What we collect
When you place an order we collect: your name and contact details; the information you enter to prepare your notice (which may include the tenant's name(s), the property address, rent and arrears details, and the grounds you are relying on); and payment confirmation details. Card payments are processed by our payment provider (Mollie) — we do not see or store your full card details.

Why we collect it and our legal basis
We use this information solely to prepare your document and deliver our service to you (the lawful basis is performance of our contract with you), to send you order confirmations and the completed document, and to keep records required for tax and accounting (a legal obligation). We do not use your information for marketing unless you ask us to.

Information about third parties (tenants)
To prepare your notice you may give us personal information about your tenant(s). You confirm you have a proper basis to share this with us for this purpose. We use it only to complete your document and for no other purpose.

Who we share it with
We share information only where necessary to deliver the service: our payment provider (Mollie) and our website platform (Webador), and with HMRC or other authorities where the law requires. We do not sell your information to anyone.

How long we keep it
We keep order records and the documents we prepare for as long as needed to deliver the service and to meet our legal and tax obligations (generally up to 6 years), then delete them.

Where it is stored
Your information is stored on systems provided by our website and payment partners. Where information is processed outside the UK, appropriate safeguards are in place.

Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email us at [your email]. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Cookies
Our website uses essential cookies to function and may use cookies to process your order and payment. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.
